Description
Cardamom essential oil is steam distilled from the fruit and seeds of the plant, producing a clear, colorless liquid with a strong middle fragrance note. It has a sweet, warm spicy aroma with a hint of eucalyptus, and is highly effective in relieving motion sickness as well as calming frayed nerves. Its immunity boosting qualities can be felt in its warming effect. Cardamom increases perspiration, and can help cool the body after vigorous exercise. Its use as an aphrodisiac dates back to the ancient Egyptians, who were known to add it to their coffee as well as use it in their oral care regime. Stimulates the appetite, decreases anxiety and combats fatigue, relieves occasional abdominal discomfort and supports a healthy urinary tract.
