Steam distilled from the leaves/needles of the pinus sylvestris (Scots pine), this clear to pale yellow oil has a strong middle fragrance note that is clean, dry and balsamic with foresty turpentine notes. Mostly used to blend with other oils, it infuses the air with a fresh, evergreen fragrance and helps to support a healthy respiratory system. Often added to baths or sauna water to invigorate and stimulate the mind and chase away fatigue. Its aroma is physically grounding and relaxing, and diluted in carrier oil it can be rubbed on the chest to loosen phlegm or deep into sore muscles and joints after a good workout.
